ON TRACK
Walk the path of your Wild Self
17 - 25 April 2025 | Okavango Delta, Botswana
TO THE RHYTHM OF NATURE, WILD AND LIFE TRACKING BECOME ONE
SOMEWHERE DEEP INSIDE, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE HERE TO DO.
Each of us is born as a wild child with a clear blueprint—the foundation of our mission here on Earth. However, through social conditioning, we risk losing connection to this blueprint over time. You make certain “social” choices, and your wild self gradually gives way to your social self.
Then comes the day when you feel the call to reconnect with your wild self. You start questioning the meaning (or lack thereof) of life, your role in the greater whole, and how it aligns with the context of your current life.
Congratulations! You are now officially a “tracker.” The path back to your wild self isn’t always easy, but it’s the only route to a sense of authenticity and meaning.
One thing is certain: once a tracker, always a tracker. There is no way back.
Discover how the ancient art of wildlife tracking can guide you back to your wild self.
Are you with us?

As a former consultant at McKinsey & Co, Carlien knows that it’s not always easy to combine a fast-paced and ambitious lifestyle with a sense of fulfillment. Over the years, she has created a life for herself that feels more meaningful, enjoyable, and lighter. She believes that reflection, curiosity, and bold decisions are the foundation for a more joyful life. After all, no one is waiting for a B-version of you. Rick de Gaay Fortman
ADVENTURER & INNER GUIDE | Combines a deep love for Africa, wildlife, and adventure with a natural talent for guiding people back to their life path.
Africa, adventure, and self-development run deep in Rick's veins. As a child, he grew up in Ghana and Sudan. Later, he climbed Kilimanjaro, cycled 7,000 km from Cape Town to Nairobi for a good cause, and hiked his first trail in the Okavango Delta. While working for McKinsey in South Africa, he completed a beautiful trail in iMfolozi NP. In 2016, he embarked on an epic six-month road trip from Nairobi to London, visiting iconic parks like the Masai Mara and the Serengeti. After experiencing burnout at McKinsey, Rick’s soul made it clear that he had strayed from his path, which inspired him to rediscover his authentic self. A transformative wilderness trail in Norway in 2022 inspired Rick to guide others in their personal development, surrounded by nature. Today, Rick is not only a strategy consultant but also an accredited coach who organizes nature retreats to help people find their way back to themselves.

Any other questions?
How adventurous is this program?
ON TRACK is a unique program for adventurous souls. You can take this quite literally. Both at Kwapa Camp and during our wilderness trails in the bush, we may encounter "big game" (e.g. elephant, leopard, buffalo, lion) along the way. We are always in the highly experienced hands of trail guide Sevara, who always carries a weapon. Fun fact: Sevara has never had an accident or shot an animal throughout his entire career. He reads animals like no one else and avoids direct confrontations as much as possible.
What level of comfort can I expect?
On this retreat, do not expect the luxury that we are used to at home. The greatest luxury is the direct connection with nature, the total disconnection, and the suspension of time. At Kwapa Camp, you can shower with warm or cold water using a "bucket shower," and "flushing toilets" are available. During our stay in the bush, there is a "bush toilet" :).
Can I use my phone during the retreat?
We believe that a complete disconnection from the outside world provides the deepest connection with yourself. At Kwapa Camp, there is a brief period of (slow) WIFI available daily, but once we're in the bush, you’ll be completely offline. In case of emergency, we carry a satellite phone during our wilderness trails.
